Tolmei Orafi · two benches in Arezzo since 2009
Twelve pieces, each one photographed on a hand that is not ours — so the metal and the skin arrive at the same scale, and you can see how wide 6 mm really is.
€245 — €1,980
Twelve pieces in the shop today, eleven of them in stock

Ring sizes cut to order, stated as inner circumference in millimetres

Resizing up to two sizes either way, for as long as you own the ring
Nothing here is approximate. Every piece is weighed on the bench scale before it is listed, and the figure on the page is the figure stamped on the guarantee card in the box.
Left: Nodo, 18k, 8.4 g. Right: Terzo, silver 925, 4.1 g for three.
Why every photograph is a hand
A ring on white paper tells you nothing about a ring. On a hand it tells you everything: how high it sits, how it reads next to a knuckle, whether 2 mm is thin or just small.
Fourteen people have sat for these pictures, aged 19 to 81. None of them work here, all of them were paid, and not one piece was borrowed back for the shot.
Measurements, not adjectives
If a number matters to the way a piece wears, it goes on the page before you have to ask for it.
Prices include Italian VAT. Stock is what is physically in the drawer this morning, not a forecast.
Nineteen to eighty-one, warm hands and cold ones, knuckles that need a half size more. Drag the rail or use the arrows.
Two honest ways. Ask us for the paper sizer — it is free, it goes in the post the same day, and it is accurate to half a size. Or take a ring you already wear on that finger, lay it on a ruler, measure the inner diameter in millimetres and multiply by 3.14: a 16.6 mm inside diameter is a size 52. Measure in the evening with warm hands; fingers are up to a full size smaller first thing on a cold morning.
40 cm closes at the base of the throat and shows above a crew neck. 45 cm lands on the collarbone — the length most people mean when they say «a necklace». 50 cm sits two fingers below it and layers well over 45. 60 cm reaches mid-sternum and clears a shirt collar, which is why the Maglia is cut at 55 and 60 only. All four are measured with the clasp closed.
Two sizes up or down costs €45 and takes ten working days, for as long as you own the piece. Past two sizes we cut the band and let in or take out metal: €80, and the hallmark is re-struck. The Terzo and the Nove are made in one piece and are remade rather than resized, charged at the difference in gold weight. Chains are shortened free of charge in the first year.
Italy €9, rest of the EU €14, both insured for the full value and free over €450. Parcels leave the bench on Tuesday and Friday and arrive in two to four working days. A piece cut to a size you ordered adds ten working days before it ships, and the listing says so before you choose.
Thirty days from the day it arrives, unworn and in its box, and we pay the return postage anywhere in the EU. Engraved pieces and commissions are the two exceptions — we say so again on the engraving field before you type into it. A refund reaches your card within five working days of the parcel landing back here.
The piece; a stamped guarantee card carrying its weight in grams, its fineness and the assay number; a cotton pouch cut in Arezzo; a polishing cloth; and a pre-paid return label already addressed to the bench. No ribbon, no tissue theatre — if you want it wrapped for a gift, say so in the order notes and we do it properly.
Come and put four of them on. Most people change their mind about width within ninety seconds of trying a 2 mm beside a 4 mm, and nobody has ever regretted being measured twice. Tuesday to Saturday, no charge, no obligation to buy anything.
